Project Engineer

Electrical engineer with experience in power system simulation, microgrids, and energy transition project development.

Bárbara Contreras is an Electrical Civil Engineer from the University of Chile and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Engineering Sciences with a specialization in electrical engineering. She has experience in energy transition projects, currently working as a Project Engineer at the Center for Energy Transition (CENTRA) at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez.

Her background includes strong academic involvement as a teaching assistant in energy laboratory and experimental methods courses, as well as experience in modeling and simulation of electrical systems, including hybrid microgrids. She combines applied research, teaching, and energy systems analysis.
