The academic has over 25 years of experience in the mining market, particularly in areas related to sustainability, innovation, venture capital, and markets. In this regard, he is an expert in green mining, traceability, copper uses, mineral market development and access, and responsible metals supply certification.

He was responsible for market development and access activities at Codelco, where he implemented the responsible supply strategy and created Codelco Lab, a technological subsidiary focused on developing new uses for copper. Additionally, he served as president of the International Molybdenum Association and chairman of the Executive Committee of the International Copper Association (ICA).

Currently, Víctor Pérez is a member of various mining-related associations and initiatives, including the executive direction of the consultancy Minerales Andinos, the Advisory Committee of Copper Mark, the Aurus III Venture Capital Investment Fund, the One Planet Ventures Venture Capital Investment Fund, the Copper Studies Center (CESCO), the Alta Ley Corporation, and the professional association Voces Mineras, among others.

He holds a Master’s degree in Finance from Imperial College London, UK, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Boston University, USA.
