CEREN: test bed for national power grids
A place to test grid technologies in a simulated, reproducible environment before deploying them in the National Electric System.
Objective
PurposeCEREN (Experimentation Centre for National Power Grids) is an ITL initiative with universities, research centres and the National Electricity Coordinator. It aims to set up and operate a test bed for power grids unique in Chile and Latin America, bridging laboratory tests and real system operation.
