The Center for Energy Transition (CENTRA) at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez is seeking a highly motivated Technology Manager to join the research team of the ANID Anillo Project ACT250025: “Decision Support Tools for Virtual Power Plants (VPPs) in Chile”.
The successful candidate will lead the strategic bridge between research outcomes and the energy industry, ensuring that the innovative tools developed within the project achieve real-world impact and robust intellectual property protection.
Key Responsibilities:

Identify and evaluate high-impact innovation opportunities within the project’s three core research lines:

Reliable and Resilient VPP Design.

Efficient and Autonomous VPP Operation.
-
Innovative Market Development and Regulatory Frameworks.

Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders in the Chilean and international energy sectors.

Manage technology transfer processes, including patenting and Intellectual Property (IP) strategies.

Support the dissemination of project results to industrial and governmental audiences.
Requirements:

Education: University degree in relevant fields (e.g., Engineering, Business Administration, Technology Management, or related disciplines).

Experience: Desirable proven experience in technology transfer, innovation management, or relevant roles within the energy sector.

Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to bridge academic research and industry needs. (Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus).
Position Details:

Workload: Part-time (25 hours per week).

Salary: $1,500,000 CLP gross per month.

Location: Santiago / Hybrid.
