Free course – Advances in Accommodation Capacity
November 11th, 2024
CENTRA UAI joins course on advances in hosting capacity of electrical networks
The Center for Energy Transition (CENTRA) of Adolfo Ibáñez University collaborates in a training course on “Advances in Hosting Capacity”, organized by the Power and Energy Systems Group and the Melbourne Energy Institute of the University of Melbourne, together with the State University of Campinas (Brazil), Energy Research and Analytics (ERA, Brazil), and the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI, USA), among others.
The course, which will be held from December 10 to 12, 2024 in online mode, offers a complete and practical overview of the capacity of electrical distribution infrastructures to integrate distributed energy resources, such as solar panels on roofs and electric vehicles. Experts from various institutions will discuss current challenges and the technological advances necessary to manage these resources without compromising the stability of electrical networks.
Featured topics include grid and DER modeling challenges in Brazil, creating hosting capacity maps for PV park developers in Chile, and using artificial intelligence to optimize strategic hosting capacity planning.
