Bernardo Severino
Electrical Engineer from the Universidad de Chile and Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Sustainable Electric Networks and Sources of Energy (SENSE) at Technische Universität Berlin, Germany. Research Assistant of the Center for Energy Transition (CENTRA) at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez. His research interests are modeling, stability analysis, and control design of AC/DC microgrids; integration of renewables sources of energy and energy storage systems in electric networks; and mathematical methods for nonlinear control and transient stability analysis. Between 2011 and 2015, he was Project Manager at the Energy Center of the Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences at Universidad de Chile. He participated in the design and implementation of microgrid projects for providing energy to isolated communities in Chile, such as Huatacondo and Romeral villages. At the Energy Center, he was also project leader in two CORFO Innova projects: Optimal Packaging of Lithium Batteries and Control System for Microgrids. Until 2020, he has 6 WOS publications.
