Claudio Seebach
His areas of interest and development are education, public management and modernization of the state, infrastructure, energy, climate change, sustainability and entrepreneurship.
In his career he has worked in the public, private, academic and civil society sectors. Between 2015 and 2023 he was executive president of Generadoras de Chile, the trade association that brings together the main renewable energy generation companies and other technologies operating in the Chilean market, from where he led the public-private agreement to phase out coal in Chile, in addition to promoting a renewable energy and electrification agenda for the energy transition.
He is co-founder of Enseña Chile and Elige Educar, of the company B Próxima Servicios, and of the developer of public works concession projects, Nueva Vía. He is a member of the National Council of Science, Technology, Knowledge and Innovation for Development and the global board of the World Energy Council representing Latin America and the Caribbean. He is an advisor to the Center for Conflict and Social Cohesion (COES) and an ambassador for the Hay Mujeres Foundation.
Previously, he was national director of Un Techo para Chile, executive director of the Centro de Políticas Públicas UC and executive secretary of the Consorcio para la Reforma del Estado. He was also head of the Interministerial Coordination Division of the Ministry of the Presidency, where he led the creation of the Presidential Compliance Management Unit and advisor in the cabinet of the Minister of Public Works, Transport and Telecommunications.
He was a professor at the Department of Industrial Engineering of the Catholic University teaching courses on Introduction to Economics, Optimization and Introduction to Public Policy, and at Stanford University where he has taught the course on Chilean Energy and Climate Policies.
