Cristian Araya
Cristián Araya Maggi is a Lawyer at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and Master of Laws (LL.M.) at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), England. Cristián has a long-standing practice in energy, projects and natural resources matters, with extensive cross-border experience. He has significant experience gained at Gener (today AES Andes) in regulatory matters and in development and M&A of power plants in various countries, as well as gas and transmission projects. He was also a member of renowned energy practice firms (Larraín and Asoc), of BAZ (now DLAPiper) and Fiscal of energy companies (Gasoducto del Pacífico; complete GNL Chile project since its beginning in Quintero) as well as companies listed as Gener and CSAV, among others. Today he continues to advise focused on complex contracting agreements, energy matters, environmental materials and permitting, including renewable projects (hydro, PV, biomass and wind).
