Daniel Gutiérrez
Lawyer from the Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción. Master of Laws in International Business (LL.M), Anglia Ruskin University (England). Postgraduate in International Relations (PGD), Warwick University (England). Specialist in electrical regulations with twelve years of professional experience in the field of energy regulation. His professional career has been developed in law firms, companies in the electricity sector, and founding partner of a consulting firm specializing in electricity regulation. He has been legal advisor to energy companies in all segments of the sector (generation, transmission, distribution and free customers), the Coordinator of the National Electric System, the National Energy Commission, energy trade associations and academic centers in electricity regulatory matters. Professor of Master’s and Diploma programs, teaching a course on Energy Law at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Universidad de Chile, Universidad del Desarrollo, Santiago, Chile, and Universidad de Santiago de Chile. He has been a speaker at the most prominent academic and business forums held recently in the country and abroad, on regulation and energy policy. He is the author of 23 opinion columns in specialized publications on energy law and electricity regulation, two academic articles, including one in the book “Energy Justice and Energy Law” published by Oxford University Press. He is a founding partner of BGS Energy Law and an Ontological Coach of the Newfield Network.
