Eduardo Bitran
Eduardo Bitran is an Industrial Engineer from the Universidad de Chile, generation 1981. He obtained his Ph.D. in Economics from Boston University in 1987.
He is a tenured professor at the Faculty of Engineering and Sciences of the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, where he teaches courses on Project Formulation and Evaluation.
He has been a member of various boards of directors in private companies and state institutions, such as Salcobrand, Transelec, Enami, among others. He was also president of the National Council of Innovation for Competitiveness and General Director of Fundación Chile.
He consulted on competitiveness and infrastructure issues in Colombia, Guatemala, the Dominican Republic and Mexico. In addition, he was Minister of Public Works between 2006 and 2008, and executive vice president of Corfo in the period 2014 and 2018. He served as a professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at the Universidad de Chile.
