Shahriyar Nasirov
Shahriyar Nasirov has obtained his PhD in Economics and Policies form the University of Basque Country (UPV/EHU) in Spain with a specialization in energy markets (2013). He is currently an Associate Professor and Academic Director of the Executive Master’s program in Renewable Energies of the Faculty of Engineering and Science at the Universidad Adolfo Ibañez (UAI). He is also an Associate Researcher at the Solar Energy Research Center (SERC-Chile) and the European REMIND project, Horizon 2020 funded by the European Commission.His main research interests include topics related to regulation, energy security, energy focused CGE modelling and energy policy, covering contributions from a multi-scalar sustainability perspective. He is a member of the International Association for Energy Economics (IAEE), Global Trade Analysis Project (GTAP) and ECOMOD Modeling Network. In the past, Mr. Nasirov was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Solar Energy Research Center (SERC-Chile) and a PhD Researcher at the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Manila, Philippines.
